Job Description	Role & Responsibility of BAG: BAG (Business Analysts Group) is an integral part of Broadband business and single point for enabling business requirements supported through IS (Information Systems) by way of defining system facing business requirement specifications for IS application development. It is a bridge (media/catalyst) between business and systems development teams. The group's role is to receive, collate, analyse, suggest improvisation areas & then effectively translate business needs, concepts, ideas and requirements into systems facing business functional requirements specifications (BRS). This will be the basis and input to the design & development phase of the software application development life cycle on which user acceptance test will be performed by BAG team with a participation of the end user groups. This BRS will be reviewed & concurred by the initiator as well as other functional teams, before releasing to system development teams. BAG is also to actively participate at functional business process definition level based on BRS. The BAG responsibilities are clearly defined as: * Define and translate business requirements into systems facing functional specifications understood by IT development teams * Own, manage, track, fine tune BRS and interact with IS development teams during the course of development cycle for given BRS release * Define, execute and sign-off UAT of applications for production deployment * Change management of requirements executed through BAG. * Overall liaisoning with Business Teams and System Development teams. BAG skill-set consist of: 1. Business Solution Architect 2. Senior Business Analysts with systems knowledge 3. Business Analysts with systems knowledge 4. Application Testers with application function familiarity Document / technical writers The incumbent shall be responsible for efficient Business IT system Operations supporting Microsoft technology based Portal. Specific responsibilities includes * First level Application / System Operation Support * Process Adherence , escalation and jeopardy notifications * Real time troubleshooting, root cause detection and resolution * Release certification and deployment planning
